Cruz Roja: Departamento de Juventud

Internship Paper

This resource consists of an internship paper detailing my experiences at the Red Cross in Sevilla, along with a literature review on the importance of health promotion and education in Spain to address gender-based violence and mental health. During my internship with the Youth Department, I gained valuable experience supporting health promotion initiatives in Sevilla and surrounding areas by facilitating workshops in local schools. These workshops focused on gender violence and mental health, highlighting both the prevalence and urgency of these issues among young people.

Through direct interaction with youth, I observed that health education is one of the most effective strategies for preventing gender violence and reducing the stigma surrounding mental health. My responsibilities included leading educational workshops, collecting and analyzing data on school participation and volunteer engagement to support program planning and resource allocation, and promoting wellness, gender equality, and environmental awareness among students.
